Carl Lentz, Hillsong NYC Pastor, Attacked on Twitter, Told to Repent for Stance on Homosexuality, Sin

Carl Lentz, pastor of Hillsong NYC, was being criticized by fellow Christians on Twitter for his apparent refusal to preach on sin (homosexuality) from the pulpit. Some have come to his defense.

The discussion started when a Sugarland, Texas pastor named Saiko Woods expressed his disapproval of Pastors Joel Osteen (of Lakewood Church) and Carl Lentz’s appearance on “Katie” this week.

Lentz responded to Woods’ comment…

Woods’ continued his tweets, asking Lentz if he believes homosexuality is a sin. But Lentz has not responded. Instead, those who were in favor his “Katie” appearance have been taking up his defense (read them here).

Another Twitter user, Bart McCurdy, also attacked Lentz, calling him a coward and saying he needed to repent.
